Look! no stamps?

I am so loving using all the fab Christmas stamps I have at the moment and I have some others , the sassy girls and LOTV just waiting to be used, but first have to get my christmas cards out of the way. I decided as my son has now decided there are another 10 he wants so far, mainly for his teachers and I still have a fair few to do for family and friends I'd try to do some simple quick and easy ones.

I found some images I had from last year,  a couple stamped and some freebie toppers, these freebies are coming in useful. I decided to try some more mostly white cards and did some more snowflake embossing with fiskars plate.I really will have to invest in some dies and embossing stuff for my sissix big shot, just not sure what to get for the best as they all seem so expensive. Have to admit I only got the big shot as they were selling off the stock at our local hobbycraft when I bought it and it was something like £50 which did seem a bargin and I wanted something for cutting out letters for my scrap booking so decided to buy it. The rest of their stuff just seems so expensive and I'm not sure what to invest in as I'm not into the character things they do, cute as they are. All advice greatfully recieved as don't want to let hubby say I told you so, as he was skeptical that I wouldn't use it.

Well back to my cards, so far I have done 2 hopefully I'll get time to do a few more later .

The first I added a preprinted vellum sentiment and some red ribbon before topping off with a white pointsettia flower. I love these as they are kind of pearlised and embossed, it looks like it took someone ages to do , probably a machine and not me ,but I do think they look quite elegant. I have 5 male adult cards to make for my son and 5 adult female so I thought these might be ok  for either so he can choose.

I'd like to enter this card into a couple of challenges, seems wrong not to when it fulfills the criteria and I did conciously try to keep them simple.

This one will enter;-
Drunken stampers-no stamps
Sketchy colours--red and white
Paper sundaes-layout, I did loosely follow it
A spoonful of sugar- anything goes

My second simple card uses a stamped image which I stamped and embossed in white powder and then went over with brilliance inks, love that subtle shine. I simply mounted on silver mirri card and added ribbons down the side and a craftworks sentiment bauble attatched with a snowflake brad. All on another base card which I embossed with snowflakes.

This one I'm entering in to :-
OSCC-snow people
Incy wincy- blue and white
Pollycraft mondays-feeling blue
Little paper shop challenge-layout
Going grey with scrap creations-blue, silver and white

Super cards! Love the quiet elegance of the first one... and the blue colour in the second. The snowflakes look lovely in the ribbon and so does the metallic charm.
