Little blue flowers

I know hydrangeas are more a summer flower but my garden is predominantly blue and pink at present with for get me nots and bluebells  wall flowers and columbine too, so my inspiration is the blue spring flowers.

this is a lily of the valley stamp again, not that I am addicted to them or anything, coloured with promarkers.

Once stamped and coloured I die cut it. I am loving clean and simple cards at the moment but feel like I am cheating when I make them so as I have quite a few pretty paper pads and some lily of the valley ones I haven't even touched yet I thought I would break the seal and go a little more elaborate for me at any rate,

I cut 2 squares of blue coordinating paper and added some ribbon and tied with a knot . I haven't yet added a sentiment as I think this card will be good for birthday or wedding anniversary so haven't yet decided which to use it for yet.

One man and his dog

Lily of the valley have some super cute stamps and this cute little chap is no exception.
For some reason my pics all look blue ,think it must have been because it was early and dull weather when I took the pics but sorry.

I coloured him with promarkers and used a fancy shaped spellbinders die to cut him out after fussy cutting around the image. I couldn't find a die that he fit in perfectly so I half cut the die by sticking his head out of the cutting area. I then cut a slightly larger die for the base.

I matted the die cuts onto a white base card layered with cream card and some stripy paper and started adding detail with some die cut foliage and a die cut button again the button was coloured with promarkers, and I then added a hand tied bow to the button before adding to the side of the image.

The bottom of the card I wanted some interest so as the image suggests a country side scene i decided on some grass, I don't have a grass die it's on my wish list so I coloured some copy paper with grass promarker and using scissors randomly cut some grass, well hopefully that's what it looks like.

Inside the card I stamped the image again and left uncoloured.

Wedding Acceptance

A clean and simple monochromatic wedding acceptance card. I used a white base card and embossed the front with tiny hearts using a embossing folder.

I used dies to cut 2 hearts one solid and one with the centre removed with a smaller heart. I didn't like them plain so I used the memory box love arch as an embosser to create a pattern over the hearts after stamping the word acceptance on the solid heart using a stampman stamp and grey promarker.

I added ribbon which was cream and coloured grey with the same promarker . I finished the card with a little sparkle- a clear gem.

Inside I printed the inside of the card with borders and text again in grey.

Modern tile to Asian bamboo

I made this card with the memory box challenge in mind, I recently discovered there's more to dies than just shape d base cutting and am loving experimenting and thinking outside the box. I don't have many dies yet so I am doing quite a lot of lateral thinking for how to enter some of the challenges but I am quite pleased with the result this time around.

The challenge is birds and as I have some bird stamps but no bird dies a bit of lateral thinking was required. I used a stamp man crane stamp from an Asian set bought many moons ago and embossed it with moonglow hyacinth blue jade powder, It changes colour shades when tilted in the sun so it doesn't show very well today.Raining again.
The white base card is sprayed with moonglow spritz in tawny turquoise again has a subtle sheen honest. The lateral thinking came when trying to fit the challenge ,I used the modern tile background die and cut sections off and trimmed the ends unevenly and at angles to produce bamboo looking lattice corners and bits, which I coloured brown with promarkers. I used 5 pieces as odd numbers work better and finished the card with 3 dew drops just to tie the colours together.

I think this will be great for a general guy card and can add an appropriate sentiment when I use it.
