I love vellum and probably don't use it as often as I could but once in a while it's nice to do something a little different and vellum and parchmant craft are fab for baby cards as they have that innocent delicateness, even if they are hard to write on without spoiling the effect. I have thought of a way around this though as when I use this card I will make an inner in either blue or pink depending on if it's a boy or a girl and if I don't know I could always use lemon, lilac or pastal green then no one will see the writing and the effect won't be lost.The pattern was from a parchment starter kit I got quite a few years ago and have never got around to doing but I actually quite enjoyed making this card for a change.
