Flight of the house mouse

Afternoon peeps hope today finds you all well. This card I made for my brother who has a birthday coming up next month. I found a tutorial on Annabelle crafts blog foe chalkboard technique which is apparently quite popular at the mo so decided to have a play as I do like black and white and think monochrome can turn many images into ones not normally suitable for the males in our lives.

The stamp is my one and only housemouse but I do love them they are just so cute but along with many other images the others in the collection remain on my wish list just until I win the lottery or have some long lost relative I never knew leave me a wod of money in their will.

I think the image looks quite masculine despite having apple blossom on it a springtime image for a november birthday.

I used a white card and made a border using black leather embossed card followed by some abstract paper from a black and white papermania paper pad. The sentiments I'm not sure where they are from as I've had them for ages and finished off with 3 black gems.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-
crafty cardmakers-cute and furry
OLL-f is for 'flying mices
kaboodle doodle-'your special day'
c is for challenge-boys and men
craftindesertdivas-anything with a sentiment
lothian crafts-sketch layout
The ABC challenge-w is for words
