Purple but not blue

magnolia's Tilda that is.

I am slowly building my collection of magnolia stamps, but this one was one of the first I got 2nd hand from Elaine at Quixotic Papiere when she was having a clear out. I think she is so cute with her pinny full of hearts and so usefull as can be used to send messages of love and caring to anyone on any type of card, and who couldn't think she's sweet.

The layout of my card is for the sketch at Just magnolia #48 whoes deadline is but mere hours away, skin of the teeth time I think and must admit I haven't added the sentiment as I don't know what occassion I will be using it for. I decided that rather than layering I'd try dry embossing the background but made it harder for myself as I wanted to keep the border plain, I so hate covering pearlised card stock. I chalked over the embosssing to try and make it more prominent but still subtle too.

Magnolia down under have a challenge theme of stitching , well mine is faux stitching on the pearlised card Tilda is mounted on hope this counts .

my colour scheme is for the challenge at Magnolia stamp lovers who want purple and I definitely think I have a few shades of purple on my card so I guess thats that theme fulfilled.

Wow 3 magnolia challenges on one card.
Totally gorjuss have a hearts theme to their challenge this week so I think this cutie can join in with that challenge too.

Incy wincy have a stitching challenge so I can enter that one also, must be an Aussie thing this week stitching.

Finally but not least I will enter my card to the papertake weekly challenge who have an open theme so no restrictions at all there.

Thanks for popping by, hope the rain stops when I have to go shopping later, will be back later with another post and a baby card .
