Bunny hop
A fun decoration for an Easter table a fun little 3d bunny. A design studio by silhouette design, what colour bunny would you choose?
Another box another hat
I love this fun design it's a bit box and a bit bag
It has quite a lot of detail and fits perfectly with the hat inside and made a special birthday card for someone's special summer birthday.
Everyone knows I love daisies and these pretty summer colours just made this hat shout summer to me but I guess they may shout spring to others .
The addition of the little be to me was the finishing touch and in case you haven't guessed not only was the card made with love I made it as if I was sending it to me as unless I have a specific remit for a commission the cards I make I make as if I was receiving them if I don't have someone in mind that I would send the card to.
Double birthday for London Irish fans
We have friends who are London Irish fans and whose birthdays are days apart so they share their birthday celebrations.
This year was a big birthday for them both had so big celebration.
It was hard to come up with a card for each of them that was just a bit different and special too. I found this design which is an American football from silhouette design studio. I am reliably informed there is a difference but I was forgiven for my error.
I made one for each of them and added their name and age on one side of the ball and London Irish a shield on the others.
Both were very impressed and loved them my girlfriend especially as she was expecting something pink and glittery which she absolutely hates and I had been hinting that that's what her card would be,she is not a girly girl and is happiest playing rugby or running. Her husband also used to play rugby and is now happier watching it.
I guess one of the biggest complements I received was when I overheard someone asked if the rugby balls I had made were made from cake and how astonished they were when told they were made from card.
When your 64
A fun number card with random numbers featuring the recipients age, this card was made for a guy simple clean and perfect for a man and it is sure to stand out from commercially printed cards.
Learning something new
I've not watercolour painted really since at school unless you count the murals I painted on my son's bedroom walls as he went through different fads growing up. I watched Hochanda when hubby was away on business and I got the tv remote control and stumbled across Sheena Douglas demonstrating Crafter's companion aquapens and was fascinated by all the different techniques she was using. I bought some after a few days deliberation and when my son asked what I would like for mothers day he bought me another set and the rest as they say is history. I eventually bought some new stamps also demonstrated and here are the start of the results. I'm sure you will see more and become bored of them but they are just so therapeutically relaxing to paint.
This card is pretty clean and simple in design with a white square base card and an orange matt before the image layer.
The image I think could be used for all occasions and both genders too, perfect for a male birthday, good luck cards and even inspiration cards especially with the sentiment that came as part of the set.
I stamped the image with stazon and then used pebeo masking paint over the image. This allowed me to use the aqua pens with some glycerine to use as you would distress inks to create a blended background. Once the background had dried I rubbed off the mask and painted the image using the aquapens and added f clear sparkle pen overlay to add shine to the drum sides. The sentiment I love and on reflection could even be used on an anniversary card too or for anyone who is a little bit individual.

What's Easter without a bonnet
When I saw this design on silhouette design studio I had to have a go at making it and decided it would be the perfect Easter card for my mum.
I have a thing about boxes and love hats boxes in particular probably as I like the idea of the era of shopping and having hat boxes in your shopping or even like pretty woman one of my favourite films.
The card itself is an easel card so when closed looks like a hat but when open the hat stands on a tilt showing the message or sentiment .
I do think this is a fun way of sending a message and I loved making it and it set me off to finding other similar designs.
Easter bunny envelope card
This fun and cute cars actually folds flat for posting. The design is from silhouette design studio.

Flowers for a daughter
A commission for a clean and simple birthday card in pink with flowers for a daughter.the client had seen a similar card I made but wanted the addition of flowers and I am pleased to say she was happy with the design.
Anniversary commission
I was asked to make an anniversary card for a friend's husband who is mad owls fan and who likes a drink of Guinness. They were celebrating their 38th anniversary.
The remit was a glass of Guinness and the club emblem but the lady who requested the card was very happy and so was her husband.
Floral border for mum
A clean and simple mother's day card with floral border, I love this unusual colour mix of petrol and crimson , I didn't think it would work but love the look and I am sure it will get used again.
The border stamp is from Chloe's creative cards box set magazine 18.

Cats love boxes and I love my mum. This card was inspired by our cat who does indeed lives sitting in cardboard boxes.
This card folds flat to post.
When open there is a cat in a box.
The cat design is actually a basket on silhouette design studio which I took certain elements and scaled down. The card itself is just a standard box card design.
This one I added happy mothers day to buy was also commissioned to make one for another cat lover as a birthday card.
Mothers day flowers
This was a card I made for my mum in law who lived in Tenerife a couple of years ago. It was the perfect card as it folded flat to enable posting and she loved it and had it on display long after mother's day.

Art deco inspired birthday card
I do love some art deco styles and I decided a twisted easel card lent itself to the style very well.the drama and class of black and white is the perfect contrast to the ladies green contrasting dress and the fern adds context as though she is standing in front of a screen from the era.

Spring flowers
This project I made for me not actually knowing how big it was before I started.
The narcissus are not far off a similar size to the real thing so it makes quite a centre piece on a spring or Easter table.i added a paper moulded bumble bee to the watering can handle just for extra spring fun.
Gingham love
I made this card for my mum in laws birthday but didn't add the sentiment till after I had taken the photos. The papers are from my stash and the flower die is from Chloe's creative cards.
Coolest Emma
I have a friend named Emma who only drinks Coors beer, I found a design on silhouette design studio for 'the coolest mama' and thought it could be adapted and she loved it.

He's a wizard
This commission was for a guys 50th birthday and may seem an odd choice but was based on a character he played in a computer game.
The hat lifts off to allow for a birthday scroll that had items listed in a fun way of all the things going off in the world in the year of his birth.
The base of the figure was taken from a design on silhouettes design studio and modified to become the wizard .the staff he carries is his in game weapon.
The scroll went down really well causing much hilarity and the character box stands on the guys desk at home.
I'm sorry ....
When someone is in hospital or has to visit the hospital it can be daunting so anything that can lighten the situation is good although if laughing can hurt that may not be a good thing. This was a freebie Digi stamp from many years ago and I did change the sentiment to holiday from vacation to make it more British. Whenever I have sent or given this card it always brings a smile as I think everyone at some point has met the nurse on the card.
Shutter surprise message
Grown up brothers and often men in general can be hard to make cards for when they only have limited interests and you don't want to get the same thing every year.
My brother is no different,he doesn't drink and is all about cycling when he isn't working.
I saw this shutter card and thought it would be a fun way to send a birthday greeting and though I don't do it very often I actually impressed my brother and got a text message of thanks asking how I made it .

Commissioned new home
This commission was for a new home card with a difference as the new home was a new apartment in a marina complex in Tenerife and my remit was a photo of the complex and watercolour painted. I do not professional to be an artist but the customer loved it as she said the recipient wouldn't receive anything like it so was very happy.
Clam shell card
This commission was for a very proud grandma to send to her granddaughter who lives swimming. She requested a mermaid card and this is what I came up with.
The card actually fit in an envelope despite being hand delivered. The outer of the card was like a clam shell and the glittery sections I moulded the card so they appeared dimensional.
When the card opened I created an underwater scene with a mermaid and little seal friend with swimming fish. Her grandma asked for the birthday sentiment to be personalised with her name and age.
Grandma was very impressed and her granddaughter I was told had stayed that the card was more like an ornament than a card but she lived it which was all that mattered to me.
Clematis window cars
This window card folds flat for posting though the dimensional flowers and the box made it more of a hand delivered card. The flowers are from Chloe's creative cards and I think it's quite a fun design.
