Well you look absolutely fabulous darling....coffee?

This card I haven't really made for anything in particular which is why I haven't put a sentiment on it yet, might be for a birthday or just to say 'Hi' to a friend or 'Lets get together for coffee' , or even as a mothers day card not yet decided, but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out so far.

I decided to do a card specifically for some challenges and this is what I came up with, some times it's just fun to do that and see how things turn out and as a bonus I've even found some extra challenges I can enter it in to too.

The image is a LOTV and coloured with a mix of sakura glaze pens and Promarkers of course(my usual). The flowers are punched from copy paper which I stamped with versamarker and embossed with white and moonglow magic pearls powder then scrunched them a bit and added liquid pearl centres. The base card I used stampman stamps from one of the flower sheets and used versa colour black ink for the dots and versamark and black sparkle embossing powder for the swirls, just enough sparkle.

Not much else to it really.

I would like to enter it into the following challenges:-

Wags and whiskers-punches
Sweet stampin-oh so girly
Allsorts-make your own flowers
Totally gorjuss-black and one other colour-white (please let me off for skin tones as didn't want them to look like ghosts or zombies)
The stampman-swirls and curls
MAWTT-fashion (well I think they are very fashion conscious ladies)
Raise the bar-images with mugs, hope cups count too
LOTV-circles or dots, sorry I've got both
Charisma cardz-black white and one other
Fussy and fancy-embossing and or paper piecing
Scrapbook sisters-lace and pearls
Everybody art challenge-layout
The pixie cottage-sketch and or cute, well I think they look dinky cute
Truly scrumptious-pearls and swirls
Pile it on -childhood dreams(doesn't every little girl want to be more grown up?)
Dream valley challenge-anything goes
One stitch at a time -cards for mom
Robins fetish challenge-punches or dies
Cutie Sunday-favourite colours or stamp, well I do love black and white and turquoise so 2 out of 3 ain't bad and unfortunately I have lots of favourite stamps and this is just one of them.

Springtime love

Morning all, wet as ever but nature seems to think it's spring as I noticed I had some crocus in full flower in my front garden yesturday, so maybe spring really is on it's way.

My card this morning is a card I have made for my step niece who I found out the other day has got engaged and so romantically on Valentines day too. I decided to have a play at painingh with inks as I have seen lots using this technique though they do use distress inks of which I don't have any so I just used an ordinary ink pad and it took me a couple of attempts before I was happy. I used a cocoa versa colour ink to do all the stamping and the painting and edging my distressed card. The stamped image is from LOTV and the lace and button images are from the stampman. The script paper is K&co from life's journey pad. The ribbon and flowers are from my stach and I put it altogether on a cream base card. The buttons I coated in extra thick clear glaze and poked holes in .

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Simon says-coffee and cream
Rainbow lady-shabby chic
Anything goes challenge-distressing
Shabby T room- buttons and bows and pastals (well I used pastal brown)
Wild orchids-layout

Lexi's-flowers
Patties-make your own embellishments
Oldie but goodie-spring is in the air
crafty sentiments-spring
Prairie fairy-inspired by a song (congratulations or even you don't bring me flowers anymore)
Stampin for the weekend-flowers

My favourite colours

I so love turquoise has to be my favourite but blues and lilacs in general would be my colours of choice , but I do like brown with turquoise too. I suppose it really depends on what it is I'm picking the colour of as I prefer white and very pale pastels shades for decor and in clothing as well as blues and blacks and browns I am partial to a bit of lime green ,  and when younger I was even known to wear bright orange, if I wore it now I would be nearer to looking like an orange as I am definitely more rotund than in my 20's!

Well this card is for my niece commissioned by my mum and dad. Dad wanted 'happy birthday granddaughter' on it,mum wanted a girly card with a girl on it, but she doesn't like all the flowers and swirls etc perhaps that's where I get my CAS love from.

I saw a challenge at LOTV not sure if I've missed the deadline as all these appointments and workmen etc this week and deadlines with homework last week have taken their toll on my brain knowing what day it is etc but the challenge was favourite colours so as I'd not inked up this cute stamp I figured that was as good a starting point as any.

The image I stamped with memento black ink and coloured with my Promarkers, the tiara is sakura glitter pen in silver. I added turquoise stickles to her skirt and she is ready to sulk.

The papers are all from my scraps folders which while sat waiting for a surveyor to turn up I sorted into colours. The surveyor didn't turn up,4 phone calls later to be conveniently told after they had checked a couple of times where he was and that the appointment made in an urgent phone call on friday for yesterday at 9am, went to it's an all morning call with no specific time as we don't make set appointment times so could be any time between 9 and 12, to I'll find out why he's not been, to he's not been as I had the wrong date and its now at the beginning of March and it will be at 9am, so much for not specific times and now I have to jiggle things round in my diary. If they just over booked  or the surveyor was off sick or what ever I really wish people could be honest instead of making excuses that they think will be accepted more readily. Instead I wasted a full morning sitting around and staying within ear shot of the door being knocked on in case the door bell wasn't working, it doesn't seem to like the rain or cold weather and had my teenage son moaning that he really wanted me to take him out.

Sorry about my digression and moaning, back to the card. The sentiment I stamped in versamark and embossed with metallic bronze powder, not sure of the make as there isn't a label on it apart from the colour.

The card itself I decided to have a go at making not sure what they call it but a fancy fold one anyway that seems to be quite popular at the mo, quite easy really and I was quite surprised too.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

LOTV-favourite colours
Scrap creations-birthdays
OSAAT-anything but a square
Kaboodle doodle-non traditional fold
Whoopsi daisy-for someone special
I did it creations-anything goes
Fairytale challenge-diamond fold card(that's what it's called)
Delicious doodles-glitz,glam,shimmer and bling
Stamp something -funky
Secret crafter saturday challenge-fancy fold
Tip top tuesday-bling it on
Paper pretties-glittery

Oh well, time to tidy the kitchen, prepare dinner and then off to an appointment at wheelchair clinic to see if they can sort out a new wheelchair for my son(who knows exactly what he wants but as it's NHS won't get) and then if the chairs the reps have brought are suitable it's a 6 - 12 week wait for it to arrive, isn't bureaucracy wonderful?

A fluffy birthday

This is another card I made over a week ago and haven't had time to post. It was for my sons God mothers birthday a couple of days ago and this was the card I made for her from him. His God mother whom he calls auntie is truly a pink Princess at heart but isn't the kind of lady to wear pink at all, so we hoped this might make her laugh, or at least smile.

The image is a freebie Mo manning and is coloured with a mix of Promarkers and sakura glaze pens and the dressing gown is coloured with pink flock so it is touchy feely. I decided with such strong colours, my son wanted similar colours to their decor that I would use some brown wrapping paper for the backing paper and stamped some pink daises which I think I got from stamp addicts in pink brilliance ink on it to break us the paper. I finished with a deep beige satin ribbon, and a pink happy birthday peel-off.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:_

Sketch and stash-layout I've had the image printed out  for months and the flock for over a year and never used.
For fun challenges-birthdays
Frosted designs fab friday-no patterned papers
Cute card Thursday-shiny, happy cards
Colour create-strawberry,chocolate and cream(think I've just about got it but it might be pale milk  or caramel chocolate)
Tellens place-birthdays
Totally papercrafts-do it with digis

Sunday 20 February 2011

I made this card a while ago and it wasn't until I was tidying up my picture files that I found it. Paper piecing isn't something I do very often as I seem to stick with my promarkers but when I used this small flower print for this WOJ images dress I thought it worked quite well. I also had a go at making a flower embellishment with the smame paper and used the same  paper again as backing wow I must have been in a co-ordinating frame of mind. I even managed the backing card to blend in too.

When I sawwthere were a few paper piecing challenges atround I thought I could put this card to good use as I just don't seem to have had time to do much crafting of late, and over half term with all the appointments I have with my son, trying to fit them all in the holidays so he doesn't miss school we have a full week.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Alphabet challenge-P for paper piecing
WOJ-paper piecing
I love Promarkers-paper piecing
Bunny Zoes-spring flowers
Simon says-make your own embellishments

Another card I found that I haven't posted is using this cute stamp from sugar nellie country cousins range. I just think it is so cute. I used some textured gold paper and some checked paper , not sure of the makes. The other paper with the barometer on it I think is a K and co paper. I used promarkers to  colour the image and repeat stamped the image so I could 3D it in places. The flower I think is a prima flower and the centre is a ribbon flower I made. The leaves are rose leaves from my stash. I made this as a birthday card for a friend .

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Forgotten scraps-spring or flowers
Digi doodles shops best-anything goes
Charisma-spring has sprung
fun at fairy knoll-birthday or thankyou
Totally gorjuss-check it out
Allsorts-inspired by nature

The animals went in 2 by 2 hurrah hurrah!

What a fun photo inspiration we have this time  for you all over at Penny's, we do hope you enjoy it. I'm not going to spoil the surprise so you'll just have to pop across and see for yourselves.

We are lucky enough to be sponsored by Some Odd girl who very kindly let us each choose one of their images to work with, and have to say the DT came up with so many different projects I'm sure you'll find something to inspire you amongst them.

I went with Ollie and duplicated and flipped one of the images so I had a pair. I decided it would make a fab card for my niece who my son tells me is moving into a new home with her boyfriend(face book, the world seems to get to know young peoples business before families do!)Anyway I had to make some new home cards and my son baggsied this one for his cousin, will show the others later.
I coloured with Promarkers and kept it quite simple really other than adding a LOTV sentiment, using scraps of paper from my scrap folder, well go to use them up somehow and I did find a layout that let me.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Tellens place-stripes
Southern girls-brown and blue(does turquoise count as blue?)
Digi doodles-nature
Anything goes challenge-layout(think I might have missed the deadline)

New home cards

I've just realised I've put something about showing you these later in my DT post for tomorrow but never mind I can always alter that, then again if I leave it I'll have you all as confused as I am an that sounds more fun, so hey ho here we go.

My niece is moving into a new home with her boyfriend and another couple at the beginning of next month so I had some cards to make from me and my mum and then my son wanted one too, that is on the Dt post.

Anyway I decided that I would try and make them different to each other and came up with these. The first is from mum and thought she'd like something a bit more traditional. Gemma her grand daughter is a real romantic and so sweet I thought she'd like the idea of a cottage with flowers around the door, not that I suspect the new house will be anything like this but still.
The stamp is from a set by the stampman which I coloured using Promarkers and then added some sakura glaze clear to the windows and some flower soft summer to the foliage on the trellis. the papers were from my scraps folder and I used a punch to make the edge fancy and added some ribbon. I then added some daisies and buttons and little bows to finish. The other backing paper is a scrap of K and Co paper and I thought it tied in well with the daisies. Mum liked it and that was really all that mattered. The sentiment is from LOTV.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Oldie but goodie-add a heart(on my border punch)
Paperplay-hearts and flowers but not a valentine
Daring cardmakers-2 ribbons, one or more buttons and at least one heart (hearts on my punch border) sponsored by the ribbon reel
The stampman challenge-hearts(hearts on my punch border)
Friday sketches-layout

The card I am sending to my niece and her boyfriend I hope will make them smile, more from what I wrote inside than the image. I used on of the WOJ Melinda's stamp wiping dishes and for a change coloured in pastels again Promarkers and pearl sakura on the plate.

The layout I decided to keep simple and just cut some rectangles of a pastel paisley paper, I think its a K and co but not sure as it was in my scraps folder. I added lilac ribbon from my stash and a bow on the diagonal opposite to the LOTV sentiment which I stamped in blue brilliance ink, for balance.

Now in case you are all wondering what I wrote, well I put something along these lines.
I send you this angels house fairy , as most men seem to think every house has one and they are the one who washes dishes , does the ironing and picks up their dirty clothes, though no man has ever seen one ! I wonder why?

Now I don't know how domesticated my nieces boyfriend is but I hope it makes them smile. My hubby swears we have house fairies that do the housework and he said that long before Harry Potter too.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Charisma-mythical/fantasy
RRR-spring
Going grey with scrap creations-spring is in the air

Teenagers?

Well I have to admit I do sometimes have problems coming up with cards for my teenage son and nephew and their friends, but when it comes to teenage girls I find that even harder as I'm never sure if I should just stick with cute, or what the in colours for girls of this generation or what?

We have a new challenge over at Creative craft challenges and were very kindly given a digi image to work with by our sponsor Dragon's Lair Designs and I got one for a girl card, make up and a bag, the digi not for real. The winner will receive a gift certificate for 4 images from their store Stamping Dragon Designs.

Now I'm sure all of you know by now I am so not a pink girl and as I have a neighbours daughter who happens to be a young teenager, birthday thought this would be perfect. Now when this young lady chose the decoration for her bedroom last summer she chose teal green, previously it had been pink, so I'm guessing she will still be into teal and pink is definitely out.

I coloured my image with a mix of Promarkers and sakura glaze pens, well I figured the glaze pens would look like shiny plastic for the containers and the nail polish and of course I had to have some sparkly so the background is glitter paper. I added a simple peel off sentiment and mounted on a cream base card. Don't think her mum would be pleased though if she spilt nail polish like that though.

I added dimension to the image by double printing and adding stick pads to make it stand out.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

I did it creations-bling it up
Create for fun-layout
Incy wincy-use 2 different colouring mediums

I need more hours in a weekend Please!

Why do weekend last such a short time and the weeks days seem to be so long but still never have enough time in them to do everything? Maybe it's just me but I really do need more hours in my days.

I didn't get near my computer or any craft all weekend and I'm still not sure why, I did help my son with some home work, he had to go through some feed back and was getting frustrated with books and papers everywhere, and all the typing though he doesn't like to admit it his cerebral palsy does make it hard for him to type after a while and his hands ache, so he did some dictation to me and I typed. Now before you all think I was doing his work for him he is doing A levels in business and IT and as I did nursing as a career I was learning as I was typing and have to say it's quite interesting learning about the 4 P's and all the different terminology for promotion, I never realised there was so much too it.

Have to admit his Dad had to take over when he said can you help me with this business plan as I'm not sure what kind of detail they want. Hubby was far more use at guiding him through this as he did business and IT at university. Don't think my son gets his brains from me, in fact not sure what he took from me genetically.

Anyway, as time is slipping away again, and I still have the kitchen to clean and want to go on my power glider all in the next 3/4 hour before son is home from school, think power glider will have to wait till he's home somehow. I've done most of my chores I set myself for today, changing beds and getting the bed linen washed and dried, cleaning the living room, going to the dentist, my 2 DT cards  made and posted to the blogs ready for the challenges caught up on my DT commenting and now writing this post.

Have to admit I would have done this earlier only my son who I made all these valentine gifts for said I wasn't allowed to post them in case anyone from school visited my blog and saw them before he'd delivered them. Now I know that was highly unlikely to happen but if I had posted them I would have been caught out as is my luck so I played safe.

H asked if I could make him some valentines cards and gifts for 4 of his friends, all girls I might ask and not the ones who wanted to come over for sex in the holidays(for those who read the past post). One is apparently mad about pugs so I had to use a picture of a pug and as I don't have permission from the person he got the image from best not publish that one , even though he got permission for me to use it.

The other 3 I used a Magnolia stamp I recently chose as a prize, an Edwin with glasses. My son thinks its fab as he wears glasses and thought it would make the girls laugh. he started wanting one set and added to the request daily until I had made 4 sets. They all had to say friend on as none are his girlfriend, no time for that but they seem to spend alot of time chatting at lunch times and free periods and all are in the year above him at school.

He said he would deliver them at lunch time and I hope they went down well. I wasn't allowed to get chocolates to fill the little boxes as that's too romantic so I got jelly hearts instead and that met with my sons approval. I think he's a big softy at heart but he does try hard not to show it.

The Edwins were all coloured with Promarkers and the glasses rims are sakura glazed. The ribbons are from my stash as is the pink card and the flowers. The flower centres are liquid pearls. The little tags on the boxes are from a scrapbook set from QVC. The sentiments on the cards are a mix of stamps from the stampman and the heart shapes I cut out using my circle scribe.

I would like to enter my boxes and cards in the following challenges:-

Springtime romance

Morning all , hope all in the UK are surviving the wind rain and snow, and those elsewhere hope the weather is being favourable to you all too.

My card this morning will hopefully cheer everyone up as I have gone with the springtime flower colours suggested by Daring card makers and the flowers of violets and primroses which are apparently the flowers of February. This one I made for no one in particular and simply for the try at the colour blending challenge at Make it colourful.

I used one of my LOTV stamps , wish I could afford more as they are just so cute and decided that I would use some of the ribbon flowers I'd been playing at making too.

There is also a colour challenge of blending blue and purples at make it colourful so I actually remembered to make a not of which Promarkers I used, well the blues and purples anyway, so the hat I used Prussian blue, royal blue and purple. The dress I used bluebell lilac and lavender and the shoes violet and bluebell.I know Zoe gave a tip to use purples as shadows but the dress I actually did in reverse and used Bluebell for the shades. The yellow underskirt and flowers I used primrose and buttermilk and leaf green.

The ribbon flowers I made using a tutorial on RRR from before Christmas, sorry not sure of the exact link.
I put everything on a pearlised lilac card and did some dry embossing around the edge to form a frame. The ribbon is recycled from a bought card and the mirri card from my scraps box.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Take it as Red?

Hope this finds you all in fine spirits and health and totally ready fro the weekend. I'd like to say that on a weekend I get a sleep in , but as my body clock seems to be set for 5:15 and I don't need an alarm during the week I rarely do sleep in so the weekend days start for me just like any other. I also find I generally have less time to craft than during the week unless there is a grand prix race on and then I get some definite time for me to craft.

I made this card after rifling through my ready to colour images and as mum needs a birthday card for my sisters partner later this month I thought it perfect. He hates being called my brother in law as they are so not the marrying kind, find it very funny since they have been together getting on for 20 years but hey ho. Anyway Tony will be 52 and extremely sensitive about his age, probably as he is 6 or 7 years older than my sis. He is a hoarder and collector of anything he thinks might be useful to somebody or worth something one day, he comes home with boxes full of books and drives my sister mad. Not sure why this image felt right but I'm sure he will find it amusing and as it will be from mum to him if he doesn't I won't get any flack.

I'll look to see if I made a note of the digi designer I did marji's malarkies. I decided to keep the colour scheme fairly plain and went with the layout from The Pixie cottage. The potty is coloured with sakura pen and the rest with Promarkers. I for some reason printed this on photo paper and discovered it's not great for blending my Promarkers on, but I think it's passable. The dotty paper wasn't quite the right red so I went over with the same red sakura pen so it all matches now.

I've not yet added a sentiment as not sure what mum will want, just happy birthday or something like 'take it as read' and then inside 'that you are wished a very happy birthday' well I thought it was clever but never know with mum and the customer is always right, so it's up to her.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Cupid on the run!

Hi all will try and get this post done before my son is due home from school and then I won't get chance for anything. I have made this card for my son for valentines day , although 16 he hasn't got a girlfriend though he has a fair few friends who are girls, and I am happy for it to stay that way. Some days he says he wishes he had a girlfriend then most days he is totally glad he hasn't. I console him by saying as he has his studies to contend with he's actually better off concentrating on them as a girlfriend would be a total distraction and there will be plenty of time after his studies, why do teenagers have to have all this stress along with rampaging hormones. Scary!.

He told me this morning 2 girls wanted to come over to our house in the holidays, when I asked what they thought they would be doing knowing how he is always stuck with his nose in his studies , a reading book or on the computer or PS3, I was shocked when he responded that they would want sex!.
I told him very quickly to inform them that there would be no bedroom fun and they would be definitely staying downstairs and I would be around, spoil sport or not!

We laughed about it after but I thought this image from I think Make it crafty would be fun to send him on valentines day. I coloured with promarkers and sakuras for the arrow shafts and blades and the sentiment I hand wrote , hope he sees the funny side, as you can never tell with teenage boys.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-
The crafty pad-something for the boys

Zoe's fun game in celebration of Austrailia day

If you are up for a bit of fun Zoe at Make it crafty has a fun game you can play. She has listed some Aussie slang on her blog and you have to put down in a post what you think they mean, thought it sounded fun so here goes.

Now have to admit I do watch Home and Away sad I know so don't laugh i like the sunshine and figure it makes my life look normal, so I might have some idea but might try to come up with some alternatives too. Here goes, oh just thought I could always ask my son for his interpretations too, that could be intresting lol.
Have to say looking at the list some of them are actually sayings we have here in the UK too, wonder if they mean the same thing, I'll put those we use in the UK in green.

You little ripper- you little beauty some one special or very good. I suppose it could also be said if you snag your stockings and it tears and you are trying to be polite, lol.

Well I'll be buggered-now I do know one literal meaning for this but I'll not go there as it's not in the spirit of this game so I will say I'll be darned or can't believe it or we often say we are buggered in the UK and mean we atre extremely tired.

Crikey- a sentiment of shock and something found in stories of bygone eras like Enid Blytons famous 5. We also say in the UK crikey moses, which is really shocked.

Fair Dinkum-if something is this I understand it to be good and honest and true, I suppose it could be someone who is pretty who's called Dinkum as names are getting more unusual these days.

On a good wicket- I'm guessing this means something like on a good day, or it could be a term used by you aussies when you beat us english at cricket, so I guess the ashes was played on bad wickets, lol only joking as I know very little about cricket as to me it just means more crafting time.

Make a proper galah of yourself- I guess this just means making a fool of yourself but have always imaginged a galah to be some odd creature,.

She'll be apples- does this mean she'll be sweet or crisp green and juicy or red and pappy depending on what kind of pple you mean, or does it just mean she's been drinking too much cider?

Ridgie Didge-now this did make me wonder, does it mean  that the person is a bit stiff and standoffish , or does it mean they play a mean digeridoo or are they just plain dead?

Buggerlugs- in the uk someone who is a buggerlugs is simply a bit iof a tormenting mischievous rouge. Or it could be someone who has insects on their ears?

Give it a burl-have to say this immediately made me think of someone vomitting, though we in the Uk would say hurl!

Bob's your uncle- another uk and we often add and fanny's your aunt. It basically means , there you have it, fait complete.

Go like the clappers-do something very speedily, or hell for leather or run like the wind put all you've got into it .

Ningnong- now no idea what this is but when my sis was little she use to call ice cream nongnong so I'll go with it being some kind of dessert.

Good onya!- i think this might literally mean good on you or well done!

Rough end of the stick-in the uk if someone gets the rough end of the stick they've got a bad deal of things or something worse than most others have.

Now I didn't cheat by looking things up and am looking forward to seeing what everyone else puts and to finding out the right answers too, but forthat I guess I'll have to wait till the 26th when the fun ends on Zoe's blog.

I asked my 16 year old and he said it sounded fun but the only answers I got were don't know can I go play on my PS3 now der well I suppose he's done all his school work and that's his way to chill before we go to parents evening, oh what fun??!!

Why not pop over to Zoes and join in with her Austrailia day celebration game and see what you come up with.

Hearts a flutter

Hope you all have a wonderful wednesday , stay positive its all downhill now towards a weekend, where do the days go?

Wednesdays mean another challenge over at Penny's paper crafty challenges , well every other wednesday but as they come around so fast , I'm not going to correct it, if you disagree , sorry.

Anyway we have another fun challenge, can you believe all the entries we had for our first challenge back wow so many entries and so much variety too, lets see if we can top it this time with our 'Hearts a Flutter' challenge.

Now when you see the rest of the design teams projects you will see so much inspiation and all so different there's sure to be something to give you a starting point so come on join the fun. We have another fab sponsor as this time it's Dewdrop crafts so a fab prize too.

Well when I saw the title of the challenge I think it must have been the flutter that made me think butterfly, though I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I started off looking for a colour challenge , then chose the papers and a layout and it just came together from there. If made quite a change making a card with out colouring anything, have I got you all intrigued now.
Well I used a pearl base card in liliac and added some embossed white card with hearts that I was very kindly sent with some candy I won. The black strip of glossy card I stamped with a lace stamp from the stampman and powder embossed it with stardust embossing powder. The white strip of embossed card is the edge from a birthday card mum had sent to her, got her well trained now she saves me things she thinks I might use. The butterfly is actually 2 stamped in versamark and one embossed in white powder and one in matt black powder on white vellum. The sentiment is from LOTV and is again embossed in black powder on white vellum. The flowers are from my stash and a candy win from True and are from wild orchid. The ribbon is from my stash. I stuck one butterfly on the other and separated the wings with sticky pads to add dimension. Told you no colouring. Here's the finished card. I showed my son this and his comment... it's a bit cluttered? It must be a man thing.

Spring love

Morning all and another Tuesday here again, where does time go?

Over on Creative craft challenges we have another fab challenge and super dooper sponsor too and more waffle from yours truly as I'm the host of the post this time. our challenge this time is hearts and flowers so as long as they are on your project it will count so that gives you loads of options not just valentines day, but anything from engagements to anniversary to just saying hi and I love you to a special friend or your mum.

I decided to set myself a task and use one of the pre-printed cards I won in a candy some time back. I love the cards and keep getting them out and looking at them wondering how best to use them, so I decided I would use one regardless and find a way. I chose one that already had hearts and flowers printed on it so I didn't have to worry too much about the theme and then just had the task of what else to do. I did think about using a sentiment but then I found that one of the Sassy girls I got for christmas fit just perfect so I used that. I coloured with promarkers and used sakura pens for the eye highlights and to add gloss to the lips, heart and shoes and glitter pen to the swirls of water. I stuck to yellows and greens , the colours of the card and have to say I am totally chuffed with the result.
Here it is:-
