Hoo's birthday?

Time just seems to be whizzing by and I don't seem to have had much time to craft but October brings a busy time in our family up till the early new year so I'm going to have to find some crafting time.

It seems like forever since we first bought the house for our son and a lifetime since we were trying to sort out the building work, but it is finally getting there . The walls have been knocked out, the bathroom modified, the ramp fitted and after 6 coats of paint the walls finally look the colour they are suppose to, and the living room, hall ,stairs and landing are all carpeted. Next is the stairlift to be fitted, and the shower fitted into the wet room and then its time to order the kitchen, well really book the fitting date as the hard decisions have been made and then paying for all the bespoke kitchen units.

Enough of my ramblings the card I've made today is for one of my nephews. His birthday isn't until late october but I had to start somewhere. I thought as the weather was autumnal and drab I'd use some autumnal colours and there are a few autumnal colour challenges around too.

The stamp I used is a freebie from a magazine and coloured him with my promarkers then fussy cut him out. The branch and sentiment are also from the set of freebies and again coloured with promarkers. I stuck sticky pads under his wing tips to give a 3D effect.

I thought the sentiment would be perfect for a 12 year old boy and again  fussy cut this after printing in just black ink.

The papers are all from my scrap folders and apart from the base layer which is white card coloured with the same colour as I used for the owl to blend all the card together. The border edge is cut using a martha stewart punch and all on a cream base card. The oval doesn't show very well as it looks green but it has a gold sheen and is really more of a deep brown funny how light changes colours at different angles.

The blue paper is just what I used as a backdrop and nothing to do with the card its just one of my fav papers as its got daisies on.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;-

Polkadoodles-one for the boys
Disdigi designs-fall colours
613 Avenue-anything goes optional happy fall yall
Lexis-autumn colours
Cutie Pie-one for the boys

Your fall colors are cool and crisp. The green background paper has nice texture and is illustrative of the outdoors. I like the cute owl image. Thanks for stopping by our house at 613 Avenue Create.
