Tuesday challenge time

Can't believe these Tuesdays come round so fast and some exciting news over at Creative craft challenges too, not going to tell though so you'll have to pop across to find out. Well our challenge this week is 'thank you' and we all have things we should be thankful for or say thank you for , unfortunately I think it is something many of us don't do enough. A little word that means so much, and where my teenage son and friends are concerned shortened or changed to 'cheers' which to me is something you say to wish someone good health when chinking glasses! I guess I should at least be thankful that they say anything at all.

We have the pleasure of having some fab digi's from our sponsors this time though I have to say I found some a bit more challenging than others for our theme.

The first two cards I've made with images from our first sponsor  Stitchy stamps and the third card from our second sponsor Di's digi's.

My first card I used the super hero image, I thought this as a thank you could be great for all sorts, but in my house it would be the removal of spiders, I know irrational though it is I am a complete arachnophobia , but am getting better it's just the big brick spiders I really don't like and need to be removed. Anyway my son and hubby though they do torment me in the process are both my hero's as they oblige and remove them to a place well away from me.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenge:-

Playdate cafe-colour challenge

I decided not to go with the more traditional superhero colours but my hero is funky in nice bright turquoise, orange and lime green, no disguise for him he'd stand out a mile. I imagine him to wear dull boring colours when not being a hero so he just merges into the crowd.

My next card  when I saw it I couldn't think what kind of thank you this could be used for. I did think after my son telling me I was going grey and really needed to get the 3 grey hairs he'd spotted coloured thought it could be a thank you for not laughing at my bad hair cut or even thanks for being sympathetic on my bad hair day. I later was listening to my son chatting to some friends and as usual which is all they ever seem to do moan about everything they sort of changed the conversation to how people , well some of their peers can be so unkind about those that don't conform to their norm'.I thought it would make a fab card to say thank you to someone who is accepting of you being just that little bit different for whatever reason and accepting you for who you are.

I used a mix of paper scraps, I think some are K and co , not sure about the others and the base of my image is alcohol inks splodged onto some glossy paper. The image I coloured in promarkers and decided to make them both a little bit funky in their own way. The sentiment I wrote with sakura pen and used the horrible 'cheers', I really don't like it.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Sketch saturday-layout
Crafty catz-friendship
Digi doodles-spots and dots

The last of my 3 dt cards is using a Di's digi and in comparison very different to the other 2. This one I coloured again with Promarkers but pastels and used a pearlised base card and papers. The lilac check band and the sentiment are freebie magazine stickers  from eons ago.
I think this could be another kind of thank you as the butterflies are obviously helping lift the kite into the air so it could be a thanks for help or even just for being a friend thank you.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenges:-

Lollipop-spring
Whoopsi daisy-cute
Cupcake-anything but a square
Die cut dreams-spring garden
CES-flowers and flutterby's
Phindy's place-layout

CRAFT-spring colours

Well can't wait to see all of your thank you's and at least I have a few prepared ready for when I need them, might have to send one to the fab folks at wheelchair clinic as after all my expectations of weeks before we get a new chair for my son , the first time ever we came away with a new chair, stunned wasn't the word . My son was over the moon so think I'll send them a card just to show our appreciation, as it's always nice to get a thank you, which we did say but a card means so much more don't you think.
