What happens to a garden over winter?

I'm not sure what happens in my garden over winter but my veg patch just continues to grow all by itself but nothing I've planted just grass and weeds which then means when it comes to Spring I have to de-weed etc before I can plant anything else. I know I should probably keep up my weeding so it doesn't get to that stage but I just find so many other things t do and the veg plot just gets neglected , false economy of my time and one day I will learn but hey ho no pun intended.

Anyway this is what I've been doing this Spring digging though not yest harvest digging for a couple of months anyway.

I used this fab LOTV stamp which is such fun to colour and I love how the little bird sits on the pots as the robins in our garden join me they always seem so fearless when compared to other birds.

I decided it would make a fun birthday card for a gardening gent but it could also have ended up as a retirement card too. I found the happy birthday sentiment in my word box amazing what you rediscover when you have a move around of your craft stash.

The papers are all from my scrap paper files so I have no idea who they were originally from sorry. I tried to keep the colours coordinated with those I used when colouring and all on a white base card. I cut the papers using outside the box stitced rectanges and used some creative cutting and positioning and formed a frame for my image using outside the box stitched circles.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Daisy chain -Spring is in the air

Crafty calendar -April showers/Spring

Squirrels challenge- Spring fever

Die cuttin divas - April sketch

Cardz for guys - Easter/Spring

This is brilliant - and I know what you mean - although I have found having a rabbit helps to keep the grass down - and everything else that tries to grow for that matter lol

My garden was neglected for at least a year; we had to take an axe to it to get rid of all the grass that started growing there!

Adorable image, and great take on our sketch! Thanks for joining us at Die Cuttin' Divas!
