Not an easy card to make

I know you will think I'm mad when you see the title of this post and then you see the card, but I don't think sympathy cards are ever easy to make no matter how much you care for the person who has suffered a loss.

From working in hospital for quite a few years in my past I always associate purple with death and for a change wanted to use a different colour for my sympathy card as I like to think that although we are sorry for the family and loved ones of those who have left us we should celebrate their lives and try not to feel sorry for ourselves but cherish all the happy memories we have. I know that this does eventually follow as part of the grieving process but wouldn't it be good if we could just bypass all the painful bits of that grieving process.

Boy what a deep and morbid way to start a weekend, sorry if I've deepressed anyone.

My card is for a couple of challenges:-

Charisma cardz- sympathy card
Paper star-photo inspiration

I used moonglow embossing powder for the sentiment, and stamped onto rigded embossed card, which I put into a hammered card aperture card base. The flowers I wanted some blue hydranger flowers which I didn't have so I made some from mulberry paper scred them and coloured the centres with chalk. I love the simiplicty and clean look, no frills just a heart felt message.

Onward and upward to a fab weekend to you all and have to say at the mo we have sunshine outside so that makes you feel good to be alive even if it is blooming cold, heating on today me thinks. Have a great weekend.

I really struggle with sympathy cards too and spent ages on my dt card this week even though it's a very simple card. I think the challenge for me is not being able to use a cute image lol.
Thanks for joining us at Charisma this week.

I love your way of thinking... yes, we should be positive and think about the good things and not just grieving! What a wonderful way to view life.

This card is amazingly wonderful and cheerful. What awesome flowers and love the colours.
