just swimming by...

I have had this stamp set for ages and never got around to using them , I have a feeling I have another mermaid stamp set from another company lurking un-inked as yet too will have to have a rummage.
Anyhow -this set is from YNS and after seeing quite a few different mermaids around blog land all so beautifully coloured I thought I'd have a play and see what I could come up with combining all the things that have stuck in my befuddled brain from all the fab cards and projects I have seen over the past couple of weeks.

I wasn't all together sure as to what kind of card I would finish up with so looked for some challenges to point me on my way. The images were stamped with momento ink and coloured with promarkers.

The background I used a trio brilliance ink and a cotton wool ball which I dabbed around the image which I masked using a post-it note.

The frame is the negative from a die cut - well can't waste sparkly card can you. I stuck the image to the back of the frame and fussy cut the shells ,octopus and seahorses before sticking them to the frame.

The base card was white and I used the same brilliance ink pad and wool ball to add the background before wet embossing the sentiment in moonglow embossing powder  silver blue I think but will check (if I remember and update).Oops forgot to say the bubbles on the image are also wet embossed with moonglow magic moonbeams powder.

I think it makes a pretty girly card and might use it for my step-niece in a few weeks although i know she is 'Frozen' mad I think she might like it.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;-
